Instructors will present approved training materials, maintain a professional and safe learning environment, verify student attendance, administer examinations, evaluate student performance, and complete all required course documentation. Instructors must follow current DCJS regulations, approved lesson plans, academy policies, and course requirements. Firearms instructors must strictly enforce range-safety rules, inspect equipment, supervise qualifications, and immediately address unsafe conduct.
