Description
Sunday Range Day
Students will complete the required live-fire range training and qualification on Sunday. Students must demonstrate safe firearm handling and successfully complete the required course of fire.
Any unsafe act involving a firearm may result in immediate removal from the range and automatic failure of the firearms portion of the course.
Important Prerequisite
Students must have already completed the 01E Security Officer Course, unless they are enrolled in a separate package that includes 01E. The 01E course is not included in this 32-hour 05E/75E combo.
Completion Requirements
To successfully complete the course, students must:
- Attend all scheduled training hours
- Arrive on time each day
- Participate in classroom and practical exercises
- Pass all required written examinations
- Follow all instructor and range-safety commands
- Demonstrate safe firearm handling
- Successfully complete the handgun range qualification
Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive the applicable DCJS training completion documentation. Course completion does not automatically issue a DCJS registration; students must satisfy all DCJS application, fingerprinting, eligibility, and registration requirements.
The course price includes qualification with one handgun caliber and action type. Each additional caliber or action type requires a $40 qualification fee, plus applicable ammunition and firearm-rental charges.
